Hailing from Essex, Beth Langston was playing hockey at school, but got drawn into cricket on seeing her family members (father and brothers) play the game. A right-arm medium-fast pacer, she made her T20I debut alongside Kate Cross against West Indies in a tri-series in October 2013. Langston played the final two matches of the series, but picked returned with only one wicket.

She had to wait for three years to make her next England appearance. Having recovered from a thumb injury sooner than later, Langston debuted in the 50-over format in Sri Lanka. She took part in four matches in that series and managed to pick only two wickets. However, that performance was good enough to fetch her a place in the 2017 World Cup. Although, Langston couldn’t make it to the playing XI, she was part of the England side that went onto win the World Cup.

Post World Cup, she was omitted from the national side that toured Australia and India. She used that time to play domestic cricket in New Zealand. Ahead of the 2018 edition of the Women’s Super League, Langston moved from Loughborough Lightning to Yorkshire Diamonds. Langston, who hasn’t played an international game since her debut series in November 2016, was released from central contract in February 2019.
